Mobile Aircraft Wing and Wing Root Maintenance Access Platform

Overview

The AKAM mobile aircraft wing and wing-root maintenance access platform is designed to provide continuous and safe access to the aircraft wing, wing-root area, and adjacent fuselage sections. In the supplied image, the system consists of multiple connected work platforms positioned along the wing and wing-to-fuselage interface, allowing technicians to work at several locations along the maintenance zone. Access stairs are provided at both ends of the assembly, with full handrails for safe entry and exit. The work-deck surfaces appear to be gridded / anti-slip, while continuous perimeter guardrails improve personnel protection at height. The supporting structure incorporates metal bracing and is mounted on industrial wheels so the platform can be repositioned within a hangar or maintenance area after use. Stabilizing elements are visible at the base of the system to improve stability while the platform is positioned for work. The product is suitable for wing-surface inspections, access to panels and service points near the wing root, servicing of adjacent fuselage areas, and MRO maintenance activities. Final working height, rated capacity, platform dimensions, module spacing, and aircraft-model compatibility must be confirmed from AKAM TECHNIC's final engineering design.
