Overview
The aircraft wheel and brake change dolly is one of AKAM’s ground support equipment products, developed to assist maintenance technicians with the removal, transfer, and installation of heavy wheel and brake assemblies. Its wheeled structure and lifting mechanism provide improved control of the component and reduce the need for manual load handling. This product is designed and manufactured by AKAM TECHNIC for use in maintenance workshops, hangars, and airport ramp areas. The mobile chassis, wheel support area, and positioning capability allow the component to be accurately moved toward the landing gear. The pictured reference unit is also equipped with a crane arm for handling brake assemblies; whether this arm is supplied as standard or as an option on the AKAM version must be determined according to customer requirements.
