Aircraft Maintenance Access Step Platform
The aircraft maintenance access step platform is a lightweight, mechanical, portable access unit intended to provide technicians with safe access to low and medium working heights around aircraft. It features multiple wide steps, an upper platform, anti-slip walking surfaces, a tall handrail, and a stable base for routine inspection, servicing, and maintenance in hangars, on ramps, and in MRO facilities.

Overview
The AKAM aircraft maintenance access step platform is intended to provide technicians with quick and safe access to aircraft areas at limited working heights. In the supplied image, the unit features three visible step / platform levels, a reinforced metal frame, wide tread surfaces with anti-slip strips, and a tall handrail along the access side. The structure beneath the steps includes crossed members and metal bracing that contribute to rigidity and stability. The visible black anti-slip surfaces on each level are intended to increase foot traction and reduce the risk of slipping. The base consists of a stable metal chassis with broad ground contact and visible protective feet. Unlike scissor lifts and powered height-adjustable platforms, no active hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical lifting mechanism is visible in this configuration, and access is provided directly by the steps. The unit can be used for access to service panels, lower and mid-level fuselage areas, under-wing locations, engine-adjacent areas, and other low-to-medium maintenance points. Rated capacity, exact height, tread dimensions, handrail details, and safety standards must be confirmed from AKAM TECHNIC's final engineering design.
Application
• Accessing aircraft service panels • Inspecting lower and mid-level fuselage areas • Accessing engine-adjacent and under-wing areas • Performing short-duration maintenance and servicing tasks • Use in hangars and on ramps • Supporting line-maintenance operations • Use in maintenance workshops and MRO facilities • Providing rapid access without powered or hydraulic lifting equipment
