Overview

The AKAM Aircraft Brake Alignment Fixture is designed to support brake assembly, maintenance, and installation operations in specialized aircraft maintenance workshops. Its primary function is to keep the Brake Heat Pack precisely aligned with the Brake Housing so that the brake assembly can be positioned concentrically and installed in a controlled manner on the landing gear. The fixture holds the brake components in the correct relative position and helps prevent unwanted movement or misalignment during assembly. This can simplify the installation process and give technicians better control when positioning the Brake Heat Pack and Brake Housing. A key advantage for the Hawker 125 family is that the alignment and installation procedure can be carried out without removing the wheel Axle. This can reduce service time and avoid unnecessary additional steps during maintenance. Compatible aircraft models include Hawker 700A, 750, 800A, 800XP, 800XPI, 850XP, 900XP, and 1000. This fixture is not part of the aircraft brake itself; it is a dedicated maintenance tool for wheel-and-brake workshops and MRO facilities.
